The father discovers that his son is alive, and he was buried stranger

11 days after the funeral of his son, Frank George. The Kerrigan in Santa Ana called a friend. He told the disconsolate father: «Thy son liveth,» and called the son of Frank on the phone.

It all started may 6, when the back of the Verizon store in Fountain Valley found a body. Kerrigan, 82, called the police and said that it was the corpse of his son, who was homeless and had mental problems.

When Frank asked to examine the body, the employee said that the identification is held by fingerprints. Later, Kerrigan said, «When someone tells me that my son is dead and they have his prints, I believe them. If not for that, I wouldn’t have believed them».

The family held a funeral for $ 20,000 on may 12. Then they didn’t know death of a stranger. Earlier in the funeral home Kerrigan looked at the man in the coffin one last time, believing that it was his son. And then, on 23 may, the call came from a friend of Kerrigan, Sincere. It is unclear how the coroner could be wrong.

Doug Easton, a lawyer who was hired Kerrigan, said that looks like the pathologist did not compare the fingerprints in the database of law enforcement agencies, and instead identified the Kerrigan at the old photo on the driver’s license.

When the family told the police that his son Kerrigan alive, they checked the prints and 1 June realized that was wrong. Now the family wants to sue, as the authorities did not bother to properly carry out the examination of the body. Living is the son of Kerrigan again decided to continue to live on the street.
