«The suspect then ran up the stairs, and the other tenant ran to the neighbor to call 911,» he told the Sheriff’s office.

Newell ran out of the house before the arrival of officers, but a few days was taken into custody.

The woman received medical treatment right at home, and the man was hospitalized, but authorities say his injuries are not life threatening. The Baltimore Sun reports that the man had problems with his heart after the attack. In addition, he has a broken leg and had bruises around the eyes.

Investigators learned that one of the tenants «took a large sum of money» from the Bank, where Newell.
