When going to a restaurant, it is important to remember that sometimes the waiter can pursue hidden goals: for example, to make you order as many dishes and drinks as possible, warns the MORE magazine. What tricks to keep in mind?

1. Sometimes the «booked» table is not so booked

From time to time, waiters put the Reserved sign on large tables, just so that they are not occupied by a small company — and when a large group of customers appears, the sign is calmly removed.

2. Tips for seating guests

If the waiter puts you at the entrance, it may be for a reason. Sometimes in this way they try to create a feeling among passers-by or newly entered clients that the hall is packed to capacity. Exquisitely dressed visitors, in turn, are tried to sit by the window — to demonstrate the high status of the institution.

3. Beware of the last meal

Some waiters, when offering you dishes, name the most expensive at the end — because it is highly likely that the last item from the list will be remembered by the client best of all.

4. Be careful with prices

The full cost of the dish is not always indicated on the menu. Some people write the price per 100 grams, while a portion might be, say, 250. So read carefully.

5. Free cheese only in a mousetrap

Don't get too excited about free snacks like nuts and crackers. From them, hunger and thirst can only play out more, and this, in turn, will affect your order.

6. More wine?

If the waiter pours wine into your glass every now and then, he probably expects you to finish it before you finish the dish. This means that we will have to order a second bottle.

7. Tips with a trick

Sometimes when you ask a waiter about the restaurant's specialties, he can give good advice, but sometimes quite the opposite. There is a possibility that some products are just about to expire and need to be disposed of as soon as possible — at your expense.
