Microsoft is building for the staff of the house in the trees

Various technology companies have long had a reputation of offices, equipped with all comforts, offering its employees everything to their comfort: from free food to slides, balls and massage. Microsoft decided to go ahead. The headquarters of the company located in the Pacific Northwest, 500 acres of land planted with trees — a perfect place for creativity. It was here and decided to create a bizarre «health» system for its employees, building a mini-camp of tree houses called Crow’s Nest. The first of them is already open.

Designed by Pete Nelson of the Animal Planet show, the house nestles in the trees at a height of 12 feet above the ground. It has wooden walls, round openings that serve as Windows, hand-carved double doors, rustic table, drawers and benches. Of course, the house is equipped with Wi-Fi and has outlets for charging gadgets. The message about opening a new Lodge in the company blog says that it is «more like a hobbit hole than at headquarters, with the tiles and the smell of gingerbread with cinnamon».

The company’s management believes that tree houses and the close proximity to nature helps people to stay relaxed, but focused and creative.
