Target opens small shops

Last week the supermarket chain Target opened 11 new small stores in the United States. Unusual Americans store format aimed at providing an optimized shopping experience on a small square ont 12 000 to 80 000 square feet (the average size of supermarkets Target of 145 000 square feet). New stores are designed to serve densely populated urban and suburban areas, where consumers are «far» from a full-size supermarket.

But the dimensions does not affect the fullness of the store. There is still room for all. However, there are differences from point to point – each store meets the demand and needs of the local population in the area. For example, a new Target on Herald Square in new York offers a wide variety of trinkets and Souvenirs for tourists who frequent this area, as well as a very large selection of cosmetics and products for body care (apparently, this is due to the proximity to Macy’s and Sephora). At the same time here you will always find fresh fruits and vegetables, clothing and much more.

But that’s not all the news from the network. The supermarket continues to test new service delivery «the same day». So, for example, the shopping at Herald Square and Brooklyn were already performing operational delivery. Delivery of purchases to your home’s door in an average of about 2 hours.

To 2019 year Target plans to open 75 new small stores across the country.
