The owner of Joe’s Pizza on Carmine Street is suing a former employee for plagiarism

The owner of the famous pizzeria Joe’s Pizza on Carmine Street, running since 1975, is suing his former employee named Victor Zarco, who after retirement he opened his own pizzeria on 5th Avenue in Park Slope and called it Joe’s Pizza of the Village.

Zarco has worked in Joe»s Pizza on Carmine Street for 17 years. In 2004, the man retired and decided to open his own business. The idea did not have to search. On the main page of the site for a new pizza joint placed the words of the owner: «my name is Victor Zarco, but you can call me Joe.»
