The global problem of environmental pollution is no longer illusory danger the indefinite future. Humanity produces a huge amount of debris, some of which are very long can be decomposed in a natural way. Scientists estimate that the complete disappearance of plastic products you need from 500 up to 1000 years. Thus, almost all plastic (except burned), made by people, in one form or another exists to this day.

However, only 5% of plastic is to be recycled, after he was thrown out. Fair to ask, where does all this incredible amount of debris? The answer is very simple: a large part of such waste gets into the ocean, where they ruin the lives of marine mammals, birds, fish and other inhabitants of the vast water expanses of our planet, resulting in irreversible consequences to ecosystems.

Many care about the environment, and therefore each chooses his own way to contribute to the reduction of environmental pollution with plastic. Someone refuses to use plastic bags and bottles, and someone involved in community events and various promotions in order to attract attention to the problem. Some even learned to derive benefit.

The company Sea2see uses plastic caught in the ocean, as raw material for production of designer sunglasses. To ensure a constant flow of the necessary material, the company entered into an agreement with the port authorities of Catalonia, and now dozens of fishing boats in 22 ports going for the fish, also brought with him about a ton of plastic every three days.

On every pair of glasses that are sold, it takes about 10 kg of plastic. Sea2see sorts the collected waste, taking away something that can be molded to create fashion accessories, and the rest sells to other businesses, which are used in its production of secondary raw materials, for example, to create nylon.

To provide the required amount of raw materials and manufactured product, van den Abil wants to start collecting plastic outside of Spain. Newspaper The Independent reports that he has already contacted the authorities of Senegal, offering assistance to local fishermen to collect plastic, which is processed and sold in the same African country. A percentage of sales will be returned to the budget, and the fishermen will get free points. Thus, everyone will be happy, the ocean will be a little cleaner and the world a bit better.
