The NYPD is investigating the incident in the subway, occurred on Wednesday, March 27, at the station Bay Ridge–95th Street. It was found that between two men at about 23:35 there was a verbal altercation that escalated into physical violence. As a result, one of the conflicting dumped the other on the rails – the victim was 29-year-old man, whose name was not disclosed.
According to police, the people who were at that time at the station, tried to help the victim to climb back on the platform, but the attacker was hit in the face with a metal lock attached to a long cord. The injury was serious, so later he was hospitalized.
