Panera Bread plans to hire 10 000 new employees and to increase the number of restaurants, bakeries that deliver, more than 2 times.
New jobs will be created, as for delivery drivers and workers billet shops, bakeries and restaurants.
As at the end of last year the company offered a shipment in about 15% of its bakery cafes. But by the end of this year, Panera expects to increase the number of points delivered to 35-40%.
«In many places across the country, all available for delivery — it’s basically pizza or Chinese food,» said Panera CEO and founder Ron Chicha. «We are expanding alternatives to deliver food and give people more opportunities to make the order nutrition, which will be delivered to their homes and jobs.»
Shipping will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 PM, 7 days a week, for purchases in the amount of $ 5 and above plus $ 3 for shipping in more places.
At the end of last year, the company consisted of 50 to 800 employees in 900 owned café-bakeries in almost all States of the USA. The company also operates 1100 institutions working on the franchise.
