About 50 owners of one of the world’s most popular SUVs , the Ford Explorer has filed a lawsuit against American automotive company Ford. People complain about getting exhaust into the cabin of the vehicle, which in some cases can lead to serious consequences. The symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning: headache, dizziness, nausea, loss of consciousness and then death, writes Bloomberg.
Part of the debate, the automaker decided in private, problematic SUVs were purchased. At the same time, the presence of defects in the verify state service and the number of complaints the fifth generation Explorer is growing rapidly.
In 2017, the exhaust gases in the cabin of the Ford Explorer complained 2719 drivers. Because of this, there have been three accidents. 41 people have complained of headaches, nausea, loss of consciousness. As of March 2019, users reported more than 80 injuries, in 11 cases the drivers claim to have an accident after loss of consciousness.

Ford have studied the application of the owners, in some situations, it was discovered that the exhaust system of the car is assembled incorrectly, left gaps through which you can come out the exhaust gases. The automaker offered a replacement exhaust systems for all Explorer owners who are faced with this problem, but to recognize the whole issue of the fifth generation failed refused.
«All our tests to date have shown that these vehicles are safe. The study showed that the level of carbon monoxide that would exceed the one with which people face every day,» said communications Manager in North America Mike Levine.
National administration of safety of traffic (NHTSA) has been researching problems with the Ford Explorer 2016. The automaker losses can amount to millions of dollars, as Explorer fifth generation was in production for about eight years and sold in large quantities.

In 2020, Ford will introduce a brand-new Explorer, the drafting of which were taken into account all the weaknesses of the fifth version.
