The US unemployment rate continues to decline

This is the 82nd month of continuous growth in the number of jobs. At around 4.3% carefree close to what most economists consider full employment. The addition of 200,000 new jobs per month is a sign of a robust economy.

Chris Arnold of NPR reported that «the latest report suggests that the U.S. economy is in good shape.»

In the field of public catering, professional and business services and healthcare, there is an increase.

The length of the average work week remained unchanged at 34.5 hours. The average hourly wage rose 9 cents to 26.36 USD.

«Wage growth remains weak,» says Chris. «Average hourly wages were up 2.5 percent compared to last year. And most economists would like to wage has been increased faster.»

The level of national unemployment is decreasing more or less steadily since the peak of 10 percent in 2009, in the midst of the Great Recession.
