Shooting in Brooklyn: man killed in front of his children; another seriously wounded

On Sunday evening in Brooklyn, police have fixed at once two cases of street shooting.
As a result of these incidents, one man was killedand another was seriously wounded.

The first incident occurred at 20:45.
How told the police, 49-year-old man was standing on the street Nostrand Ave. together with his friend and two sons when shots were fired.

A friend of the deceased, Ricky, told the NYDailyNews that the man watched by workers who have established a platform for the festival J Ouvert, in that moment, when he was overtaken by a bullet.
«I heard three shots and he fell to the ground … His son screamed and fell to the ground. Someone called an ambulance,» says Ricky.
One bullet hit the man in the head. An ambulance took him to Kings County Hospital, but to save the man failed.

After about two hours the shooter dressed in black opened fire on 44-year-old man near Sterling Pl. and Schenectady Ave, hitting him in the chest.
Witnesses saw the victim crossed the street and fell on Schenectady Ave, in front of a tent decorated with Jamaican flags.
Man in critical condition was also taken to Kings County Hospital.

Both incidents occurred near the area Crown Heights, where on Monday there will be a festival and J Ouvert West Indian Day Parade.

Carnival platform was installed just a block from the scene, but police believe that the shooting is not connected with the upcoming holidays.
