A man from South Carolina has committed suicide after a few moments, after his young son accidentally shot from a loaded gun they found in the house.

In a press release from the Columbia police Department says officers arrived at the home of the deceased Wednesday morning, after reports of a shot. Inside they found two-year-old Kyrie Myers, with a gunshot wound to the head. The father brandished a gun and was going to commit suicide.

Police report that they asked several times Myers, 38, to lower the gun, but he refused. In the end, the man shot himself in the head.

Kyrie and his father were taken to the hospital, where they were both pronounced dead. The Richland County coroner, Gary watts, said that both victims died from gunshot wounds to the head.

Based on information received from witnesses and evidence, investigators concluded that Kairi searched the house and found a loaded gun and accidentally fired it into his head. His mother, who was home at the time, called 911 and reported the incident. Currently, police are still trying to determine how the weapons got into the house.
