Irma has already claimed the lives of three people in Florida

Hurricane Irma this morning hit the coast of Florida, and the first on the path of the storm stood the archipelago of the Florida Keys.

Authorities have reported three dead (at least). In addition, more than one million residents remained without electricity.

Two more people were killed in a car crash in Hardee County, approximately 60 miles from Sarasota. The accident occurred due to heavy downpour brought by a hurricane.

Just for the time that Irma was raging in the Caribbean, were killed, according to preliminary estimates, up to 25 people.

The national weather service is warning Florida residents that they should stay in homes, even if they think that the hurricane subsides.
