A resident of the Bronx saved the lives of a mother with a three year old child

The struggle for life and death broke out yesterday, September 13, in the evening in the Bronx. The resident of the house on Cauldwell Ave in Woodstock, Rafael LeBron, was able to stop the man lashed out with a knife on a woman with a child.

The attacker – a 28-year-old Christian Valdez was familiar with the victim, 37-year-old Jenny Aquino. But, according to the police, they were not romantically involved.

Valdez was homeless and suffered from schizophrenia, he and Jenny met at Church, and she helped him, providing a shelter for the night.

But Wednesday night she would not let him into the apartment. Valdes is not stopped.

According to police, he burst into the room and pushed at the fire escape, mother and daughter, three-year Velu Perez-Aquino, threatening to throw them down.

Rafael’s sister, Millie LeBron down helped the child down from the fire escape.

«She was screaming, and her mom was bleeding,» he told the Daily News Millie. «I told her to keep pressure on that, and she called 911».

Thanks to the heroic actions of the neighbor the life of the mother and daughter is now out of danger, doctors say. And the assailant was arrested. He was charged on several items.
