In the period from Friday morning to Saturday morning in Chicago was wounded thirteen people and five shot dead. According to local police, one of those killed was a pregnant woman.

About 8:40 p.m. in the block of 4700 South Fairfield Avenue white SUV drove up to the car of the victims. Unknown opened fire on people who were inside the vehicle. Police, who arrived at the scene, found the four bodies. The press-Secretary of police in Chicago Anthony Guglielmi said that according to preliminary data, the murdered woman was in the position, but the exact information about this fact they will release after the autopsy. It became known that the killer fired the rifle.

All victims delivered in city hospitals, where their condition stabilized.

Despite this horrifying statistic, according to the city police Department, the number of shootings and murders in Chicago have declined.
