To date, 25-year-old Vernon Barrett is the youngest of Boardman, Ohio raised her daughter alone since the girl’s mother is serving a sentence for cruelty to a child: she broke her ribs, writes the New York Post.
On Saturday, September 16, the girl did not obey his father, and then it dawned bright idea: a man, dressed creepy clown, decided to scare the girl.
The idea worked «on hurrah»! The frightened child ran out of the house on Aravesta Avenue and raced at Lemans Drive.
As further stated in the police report, 911 was contacted by a woman in the car later tried to hide the girl. The stranger reported that on the street someone in a clown mask chasing a child.
While the officers got to the scene, the girl managed to jump out of the car and run to the house next door to 48-year-old Dion Santiago. The man, seeing a man on the street in a clown mask, took the gun and, taking aim from his window, shot him in the side of the «clown».
When police arrived at the scene, Barrett and Santiago shouted vengeance on each other and frightened the young girl was still afraid to leave the house.
Now deion Santiago is accused of using weapons in a drunken state, because before the incident he drank a few Beers. His son explained the action by the fact that Santiago was nervous because of the recent reports about the «jokers» in masks of clowns that scare people.
The girl’s father, Vernon Barrett, indicted in the abuse of a child and inciting panic in the society. As reported by local media on Tuesday, September 19, held a hearing in his case. Although Barrett had not appeared in court, he was found innocent.
He says that he just wanted to get the girl to behave, but the «joke got out of control.»
