A man attacked a 90-year old elderly man for no reason at Inwood on Friday, and began to beat a cane. Police are looking for the assailant, and interrogate passers-by.
According to police, about 18 hours in Broadway near West 204th Street , the young man suddenly hit the truck 90-year-old man and then himself in the head. The attack captured on a surveillance camera. Passers-by managed to stop the assailantbefore he strikes again.
Later, the man left the scene and the victim was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He has a seriousbut stable condition, while the head and the ear found the the cuts.
The suspect is 20-30 years old, his height is 5’9″ to 5’10» and weighs about 150 pounds. At the time of the attack he was wearing a blue cap, black shirt, gray turtleneck, plaid blue pants, black sneakers and headphones.
