The street near Rockefeller center were cut off by a swarm of bees

On Friday a swarm of bees temporarily paralyzed traffic in the heart of Manhattan, the police had to block off an entire block near Rockefeller center due to the fact that the insects left stuck to the van.

In the morning the driver of the vehicle parked it on 47th street, and came back about 11 o’clock found on the top of the car, sitting thousands of bees.

It is unclear where did the insects and how they are so attracted to van, which was carrying cleaning equipment.

As a precaution, the police decided to block the portion of 47th street between Fifth and Madison Avenue. The traffic resumed only after 15:00 when bees were removed by vacuum and transported to the hive when one of the police stations in the Bronx.

In June, the bees reproduce, so their involvement in this time — quite normal. However, near Rockefeller center the first time they are seen in such numbers.

Bees are not the only insects that infest the Big Apple. In particular, LaGuardia airport observed the invasion of mosquitoes. Passengers and airport employees complain that lately they annoy the hordes of bloodsuckers.
