New York College evacuated due to bomb threat

On Wednesday evening, the mercy College in Manhattan was evacuated because of a bomb threat. Around 17:00 the administration of the school, located on 35th street, warned everyone in it about the danger and advised to quickly and calmly leave the building, refraining from using mobile phones.

According to NBC, citing sources in the police, before the College received an anonymous threatening letter.

It is unclear whether the anxiety is justified is currently trying to figure out the relevant agencies. As a precaution, evening College classes canceled, what its management said on Twitter.

Mercy College is a private school that is visited by about 10 thousand students. Its main building is located in Dobbs ferry, Westchester County, and branch in the Bronx, Manhattan and Yorktown heights.
