30-year-old misty George and her boyfriend 38-year-old Michael Welch from Michigan accused of holding a woman with a disability in the barn against her will and forced her to provide sexual services for money.
Tracy Byers, a friend of George and Welch, amazed that she lived near the couple for more than five years and never suspected a thing. According to her, she corresponded with them in Facebook, went to different places and basically was with them close enough.
«This is a heartbreaking situation, I am really saddened. I feel so sorry for this woman and their little daughter (couples),» commented Byers.
Other neighbors also suspected nothing, but still not very good comments about George. «She was just strange, but not to such an extent that you need someone to report it», — shared his impression of George Christian Therem, who lives near the couple.
According to the office of the Sheriff of Macomb, George and Welch kept the 29-year-old woman with mental and physical disabilities in the barn. They would not allow her to use the bathroom or shower. The pair placed ads to provide sexual services on the Internet. A few men have responded and transferred the necessary amount.
After some time of their illegal business was discovered. Suspects accused of human trafficking and forced enticement into prostitution. After the court session, Welch tried to escape, but police managed to detain him again. Following a hearing on the matter scheduled for October 24.
