Large fires in California have destroyed dozens of homes with hundreds of residents evacuated

While Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida flood water due to hurricane Nate, Northern California has faced the opposite problem. On Monday morning several large brush fires disturb the peace of local residents.

The flames engulfed the NAPA, SONOMA, Yuba, and Mendocino. The element has destroyed dozens of homes, blocked highways and led to the closure of local schools and hospitals and forced the evacuation of hundreds of people.

In connection with this situation, Governor Jerry brown declared a state of emergency in the first three regions.

The fire originated on Sunday evening. Due to heavy wind the fire rapidly spread. As of 8 a.m., only one fire in Santa Rosa, SONOMA County, covering 20 thousand acres, as reported in the local fire Department.

Authorities issued an evacuation order for residents of a few areas. Besides, two hospitals in the city are under the threat of fire.

According СalFire, two separate fire in the Mendocino County covers 4500 and 1500 acres, and the fires in NAPA County affect an area of 5000 and 100 acres. 5 000 acres also glows in the County of Yuba.

About 8 thousand houses in the district of Nevada are in the high risk zone and can be destroyed by fire.

Element makes itself felt outside the affected areas. So, the Sheriff’s Department Marin County have received hundreds of calls from local residents complaining about the smoke.

Currently, fire departments in the affected regions continue their difficult struggle with the elements.
