The rapist from Brooklyn turned himself in to police

38-year-old man from Bed-Stuy surrendered to the police, confessing that he was the suspect in the rape of a girl in Bushwick on October 14.

Recall, 24-year-old girl sleeping in the house at the intersection of Halsey Street and Central Avenue, when into the room came a man and began to rape her. The victim managed to repel the rapist and he ran away.

Now 38-year-old arrested Jason Lasry – detained, said the press Secretary of the Prosecutor of Brooklyn.

«We announced to the media photographs of a suspect taken from surveillance cameras,» said Department chief of detectives Robert Boyce. «He saw a photo in the newspaper and came with his lawyer, surrendered. Now we continue our work, it is expected that the accused will face charges of rape and home invasion».

Press Secretary of the police Department of new York, told Gothamist that the victim was not familiar with Jason Lasry. He entered the house, taking advantage of the fact that the girl forgot to close the door.

According to police, earlier Lasry already been arrested 12 times, including three times for possession of marijuana. And in 2007, he was detained for riding a Bicycle on the sidewalk for pedestrians.
