The driver of the truck rammed 7 cars in Hell’s Kitchen, tried to escape by stealing a fire truck

A large-scale accident occurred today in Hell’s Kitchen. Around 12.30 PM a truck moving on 10th Avenue, rammed 7 cars parked on the roadside in the area of 42nd Street. In the accident 9 people were injured, one victim is in critical condition, three in serious but stable condition. All of the victims of the accident was immediately admitted to St. Lukes Hospital and Bellevue Hospital.

A truck driver who committed the collision, after the accident left the cab of his car and tried to flee the scene, attacking the employee and FDNY after trying to hijack a nearby car fire. Fortunately, he failed, and the man was detained.

Why the truck admitted hitting the parked car is not yet clear, as was the driver sober at the time of the accident. The case is under investigation.
