On Tuesday, an elderly teacher of a primary school castle view in riverside, California, became the hostage of the father of a first grader. Man barricaded with a 70-year-old Linda Montgomery in the classroom and did not let her for 6 hours.
11:12 police officers went to primary school after receiving a message about the conflict involving the father of one of the Schoolgirls. Before their arrival the man managed to put up a fight on campus, and then closed in the class with Montgomery. Fortunately, the kids weren’t inside — they went into the dining room.
As a precaution, police evacuated all the students and cordoned off the school building. On the scene arrived forces.
The confrontation between security forces and suspects lasted more than six hours. In the end, law enforcement officers broke down the door, arrested the man and released the hostage. When arrested, the suspect received a gunshot wound.
According to uncle of the detainee, which was presented by Carl Jackson, the day his nephew had a nervous breakdown and relatives even took away his car keys. It did not deter him from the visit to the school.
At 19:10 representatives of the riverside unified school district assured that all of the students were taken hostages teacher are safe. In the result of incident none of them was injured. Suffered only a police officer and the initiator of the conflict. The latter died from his injuries.
