Motive for Texas arrow could be problems in the family

«The situation at home» could push the arrow on the mass murder that happened in a small Texas Church in Sutherland springs during the Sunday service.

At a press conference on Monday, November 6, the police said that 26-year-old Devin Patrick Kelly sent a text message threatening his mother-in-law, who regularly attended the First Baptist Church, where the massacre took place.

Motive for Texas arrow could be problems in the family

This is not the first case when Kelly threatened their loved ones. According to the BBC, in 2012, being at a military air base Holloman, new Mexico, a man was accused of «assaulting his wife and child.» Moreover, according to Colonel don Christensen, who at that time worked as a Prosecutor, Kelly’s attack was particularly brutal – he fractured the skull of his stepson.

Analyzing the criminal past of the shooter, authorities suggest that family problems could bring him out of himself and lead to a massacre. So let’s see how it all happened on that tragic day – November 5.

Around 11:20 local time, a suspicious man approached the store, located across the street from the Church. Dressed in black tactical gear with a rifle in his hands, the man went to the Church building.

The gunman opened fire first at the walls, then went inside and continued firing, killing 23 people. Two more parishioners, he shot outside of the Church, and one victim died in the hospital.

Police said that shortly after the offense Kelly left the building and headed to his car – at this point a local resident, 55-year-old Steven Willfordwho saw the attack, shot Kelly with their weapons.

Kelly immediately dropped the rifle on the ground and tried to escape in his car. In the end, Wilford caught up with arrow, but he was already dead. The killer was still in the car, and beside him were two guns. The police considers the version of suicide.
