Large-scale fire in an apartment building in Hamilton Heights (video)

At least 100 employees FDNY fighting massive fire raging in an apartment building in Hamilton Heights. The fire broke out about 3 p.m. Friday in a 6-storey building at 565 W. 144th St., just off Broadway. The flames spread quickly and engulfed four apartments.

Black smoke escaping from the Windows of the house, you can see a mile away. Eyewitnesses in social networks write that small part of the facade of the building crumble and fall to the street. City police is asking residents to avoid visiting the neighborhood.

About possible victims of the fire have not been announced yet. The cause of the fire is not clear, the investigation will begin once the fire is finally extinguished.
