From the pipeline in South Dakota has leaked 210,000 for halon oil

According to the operator TransCanada on Thursday a total of 210,000 gallons of oil leaked from the Keystone pipeline. Company representatives reported that they cooperate with state and Federal authorities in connection with the incident.

As reported by CNN, is the biggest oil leak in South Dakota today. It occurred near reservation lake Traverse. A press-the Secretary of the Department of environment and natural resources state Brian Walsh said:»the Safety of the public and the environment are our top priorities, and we will update the information as and when there is news.»

Walsh also said: «We want to know how much time it will take to remove contaminated soil. So we can be sure that mine groundwater will not be affected».

TransCanada said on Thursday that ran the Keystone section of pipe was isolated within 15 minutes after employees noticed a drop in pressure.
