In Los Angeles police SUV crashed into pedestrians: two children were killed

Two brothers 7 and 9 years old killed in a collision with a police SUV. The tragedy occurred on Thursday night in Boyle heights.

Around 19:30 the staff of the County Sheriff’s Department Los Angeles was going to call in a service vehicle. When they drove through the intersection of Indiana street and Whittier Boulevard, an accident involving three vehicles. From-for strong blow the police car drove onto the sidewalk and hit pedestrians.

According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, one of them died at the scene — it was a child. His brother died later in hospital while the mother is still in critical condition. Two pedestrians and two police officers who were in the car, received minor injuries. The drivers of the other two cars were not injured.

At the moment the incident is investigated by the task force on the accident of the police Department of Los Angeles. The perpetrator of the accident will help to determine the footage of surveillance cameras installed in numerous businesses near the scene of the collision.

As KTLA reports, citing an eyewitness, at the time of the collision, the patrol car was turned off the siren and signal lights.
