Uzbek immigrant who committed a terrorist act in Manhattan on Halloween pleaded not guilty in mass murder and other charges during a hearing in Federal court.
We will remind that 29-year-old Saifullah Saipov was indicted on 22 counts, including the murder of 8 people and promoting terrorism. If he is found guilty, in the best case, he faces life imprisonment in the worst — the death penalty. Refusing to admit guilt and to cooperate with the investigation only add arguments to the court in favor of the latter option.
