An elderly resident of long island knocked down two cars

On Saturday evening an elderly resident of long island died at the wheels of two cars. According to the police Department of Nassau County, the tragedy occurred at 17:07 — in this moment 66-year-old woman tried to cross the highway Gapsted, near its intersection with Emerson Avenue in Bethpage.

First, the victim was hit by a Hyundai Sonata, at the wheel which was 39-the summer driver. Immediately after the collision with the crossover of the Honda brand CRV definitively deprived of its chances of survival. The doctors stated the death of the woman immediately after the accident.

According to the investigative reports, both vehicles were travelling East. Their drivers tried to escape the scene.

Currently, relevant departments are investigating the cause of the accident. The vehicle passed the safety test and testing brakes.
