Shooting in Denver: 1 person killed, 6 injured

The last day of the outgoing year was marked by a fatal shooting in Douglas County, Colorado. The incident killed one Deputy Sheriff and four of his colleagues and civilians were injured. The incident occurred around 7 a.m. when law enforcement officers arrived to a call on the conflict in the residential complex Copper Canyon Apartments in highlands ranch, near Denver.

During the investigation authorities advised residents of the complex and people living in the neighboring areas, take the nearest shelter and not to approach the Windows.

After 2 hours in the Sheriff’s Department reported that the shooter is no longer a threat, since he had received a mortal wound.

According to KDVR, a local hospital received 7 patients. Three of them were taken to Sky Ridge medical center with minor injuries and four in the Adventist hospital Littleton. Doctors do not give comments on the condition of the latter.

In connection with the investigation of the place of incident arrived representatives of the highway patrol Colorado state police and the offices of Parker, lone Three and castle Rock.
