The passengers of one of JFK terminal evacuated due to damage of water supply

One of the terminals John F. Kennedy International Airport in new York was evacuated Sunday because of a damaged water pipe. Weekend passengers were pretty tense because of the numerous cancellations and delays of flights due to weather conditions, so the evacuation has added to the confusion.

«Water main break at Terminal 4 at JFK airport led to the temporary withdrawal of international flights in the terminal. Passengers urged to contact airlines for more specific information about the flight,» — said the representatives of the airport authority on Twitter.

Emergency services tried as quickly as possible to isolate the damaged part of the aqueduct. However, the terminal was flooded with water. Reports of injuries or damage to property in the incident were reported.

The cause of the damage is established.
