10 people were injured in the accident in Midtown — witnesses reported that one of the victims is in hospital. Doctors describe her condition as serious.
Inside the Chevy Tahoe SUV that caused the accident other than the driver was at least one child and two women in the back seat. The incident occurred on W. 37th St. close to Ninth Ave. at about 12:30.
Through testimony it was found out that the SUV collided with a passing next to the car and then the driver of a Chevy Tahoe lost control, hit two cars and drove onto the sidewalk where there were several people.
One of them was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital. Nine others were evacuated from the scene.
