The American meteor society said that it has received 355 messages about the fall of the «fireball». The meteorite was visible not only in Michigan, but in five Midwestern States: Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri and the canadian Ontario.

«His speed was very slow for a meteorite, about 28 thousand miles per hour (45 thousand km/h). This fact, combined with the brightness of the meteor (which involves quite a lot of volume) said that he has penetrated deeply into the atmosphere before it collapsed,» — said the American meteor society.

According to experts, on this site you can find the meteorite fragments. Data on casualties yet.
