In Queens, the roof collapsed in the building: 3 Builder injured

Three construction workers have been seriously injured as a result of emergency in Queens. During the repair of the building on 28th road in Astoria, a crane was delivering construction materials to the roof, where workers — around 15:30 the load fell and struck through design.

Accident victims flew down two floors and ended up in the basement under a pile of rubble. Despite serious injuries, one of them managed to get out, where it was met by an ambulance and dozens of rescuers.

The second victim, 40-year-old man carried out of the building on a stretcher, after which he was hospitalized in critical condition.

28-year — old Builder was lucky- it rolled concrete fragments. Several dozens of firefighters sifted through the wreckage for one and a half hours — all this time the man showed signs of life and talked with his rescuers.

When the victim finally managed to get, it turned out that his feet pressed to the floor concrete beam weighing about 500 kg. he was released from the concrete trap and was sent to the hospital in critical condition.

«Today our paramedics have done the impossible — they managed to get to the patient and to give him the medication needed to save him from death, and a painful shock», — proudly said the representatives of the fire Department on the page in Facebook.
