Fallen street sign, wounded child in Manhattan

Yesterday, April 4, 6-year-old boy was in the hospital after it fell on a street sign. The incident occurred at the intersection of 34th Street and 7th Avenue, right near the Eastern entrance to Penn station, where the little passenger arrived after a trip to Argentina.

A blow to the head was so strong that the child lost consciousness. Indifferent passers-by immediately called an ambulance, which took him to Bellevue Hospital Center. Doctors assessed the boy’s condition as serious but stable.

The causes of PE are investigated by the police. It is not excluded that the metal plate fell due to a strong gust of wind on Wednesday its speed in places reached 64 km/h.
