In one of the private houses North haven (CT) , a powerful explosion occurred which rocked several districts of the city. As a result of the incident injured 8 people.
Shortly before that the police of North haven said the woman, announcing the capture of hostages in one of private houses. The staff of the Special Weapons Assault Team together with the police made inspection of the area and to establish contact with the man who held hostage his own wife, when suddenly the explosion occurred. As it turned out, the staff of special forces came into being near the house of the spouses shed, where it was installed booby traps. The structure immediately broke out, the flames spread to the house.

The officers were taken to Yale hospital of new haven with minor injuries.

At a press conference Advisor to the city Michael Fred reported that the man kept his wife under lock and key 3 days. At the time of the explosion, the woman managed to run away from home. According to Fred, the law enforcement officers — cuts, grazes and concussion, but life-threatening injuries there .
As has informed the edition of the Hartford Courant competent source informed the woman was treated in hospital after a brutal beating, and in April filed for divorce.
The culprit is not currently detained. His name, the police of North haven also has not yet reported.
