El’mer Arietta arrived to the Russian Federation under the program of studying abroad and were employed in the study of language at Irkutsk state linguistic University. Representatives of Texas tech University went to Russia to clarify the circumstances of the death of the student and organization transportation to the United States. The management of the institution released a statement in which he expressed condolences to the families of Arietty and announced that the University will provide all necessary assistance to the family of a young man.
«Texas tech University expresses its sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Elmer Arrieta. His departure is a loss for the whole team of our school. The University is in constant contact with the family of Arrieta, and we will continue to support them in this difficult time,» — said in a statement.
