The evening of June 16 in the Russian capital, near red square, occurred road accident with participation of the car «Yandex.Taxi«. The driver of the car lost control and drove into a group of pedestrians, among whom were Mexican fans. Traumas of various severity level have received 8 persons, they are now examined by doctors.
According to the Moscow police, driving a taxi was a citizen of Kyrgyzstan. Probably the man was in a drunken state. Besides, according to witnesses, the driver, having run, tried to escape from the scene. He was detained by the witnesses of the accident.
Among the victims were 2 cheerleaders from Mexico. They received minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for examination. According to the press service of the Moscow health Department, police and medics were on the scene after 7 minutes after the collision. Now Ilinka street closed to traffic, law enforcement agencies are investigating.
