The expense of the oldest veterans of America, Richard Overton cleaned out the crooks

On Thursday the cops of Austin (TX) addressed the family members of Richard Overton, the oldest survivor among the veterans of the Second world war. Relatives said the theft from his personal Bank account.

The attacker borrowed the «personality» of 112-year-old Overton and, using the number of his social security and personal accounts, stole all the money. As the attacker got the data longevity is not yet known.

That account has no money, it became known on Thursday when one of the cousins, the oldest veteran of the United States, the Volm Overton, Jr., have made money at the expense of his relative. Seeing that the debt was formed, he immediately went to the Bank to check the balance. Worst assumptions were confirmed: the account was only a sum which he has just introduced himself. «It’s shocking, it’s painful, very painful,» said Overton, Jr.

As added the Volm, the family is shocked, «that someone, a former close [to Richard] so cruelly used him» to get confidential information. How much money was stolen from the personal account of Overton, relatives of the veteran are not reported.

Currently, police are investigating the incident.

Social networks have reacted to the incident and urged Overton to help by donating any amount possible to open for survivor GoFundMe account. The family created a page on the portal in 2016, to raise money to pay for essential veteran round-the-clock care.
