A Colorado woman is warning parents about the need to install on washing machine special locks and set the child lock.
Lindsay McIver shared a story that happened in her family and nearly ended in tragedy.
According to the woman, last week the washing machine broke, so her husband bought a new, front-loading. «We told the kids that they never touched the car, and they said OK.»
The next morning, the parents woke the eldest, 4-year-old son, who told Lindsay, «he cried barely able to speak.» The boy only said: «Chloe. Inside. Machine».
«When we ran into the Laundry room in the basement, we saw our 3-year-old Chloe inside airtight washing machine, which was already filled with water. She screamed, but we couldn’t hear her,» added Lindsay.
Fortunately, the parents were able to quickly turn off the machine and open it. Chloe was lucky to get away with only minor injuries.
Obviously, the children, despite the ban, decided to play with a new washing machine, and the boy clicked on the start button.

«We didn’t realize the danger, I admit. And before you connect, not even looked at all the settings of the machine. It turns out that there is a function child lock that will not allow the washing machine to start working. In addition, we bought a special lock on the door. I want to appeal to all parents of small children to do the same. We can prevent a tragedy,» said Lindsay McIver.
