Don’t forget children in the car! In the US, 4-year-old boy died of hyperthermia, his 2-year-old brother is in the hospital

Yesterday, 19 July, 4-year-old boy died at Yale-New Haven Hospital (Connecticut) as a result of a prolonged stay in a hot car. His 2-year-old brother is still in the hospital about the child’s condition is not known.

According to the Fire Department of West haven, the children were found at about 15.00 in a locked car near the apartment complex at 2 Treat Street. As reported by representatives of law enforcement agencies of the state, the police summoned the father of the boys. The man with the children was taken to the hospital. The eldest child died in the clinic, for the life of his brother fighting doctors.

Police cordoned off the scene. There is an investigation.

Residents of the complex were shocked by the tragedy.

«My prayers are with the children. Outrageous! How someone could do such a thing?! It’s just awful,» says Tracey Marino.

«It happens more often than it should, says Matt DiSpirito. — Probably, every summer we are experiencing this. In the news constantly [warn]: “do Not leave children, animals…” And people still do it. The question is: how long they stayed there?»
