The evening of 19 July on the lake in Branson (state of Missouri) capsized and sank tourist boat. Killed at least 13 people, among them children.
According to the Sheriff of the County Arc Rayder, several people are still missing. Seven people (4 adults and 3 children) were hospitalized. Two adults remain in critical condition.
Another boat with tourists were able to safely approach the shore.
A possible cause of the tragedy, the Sheriff called adverse weather conditions.

According to the meteorologist the National weather service in Missouri Steve Lindenberg, eve was issued a warning for thunderstorms and heavy wind in the heart of Branson. The wind speed on Thursday reached 60 miles (96 km) per hour.
As reported by Suzanne Smagala company of Ripley Entertainment, which owns the boat, this is the first crash during tourist trips for all 40 years of their work.

Branson, a town about 320 km South-East of Kansas city, is a popular vacation spot.
On the lake overturned the so-called «duck boat». Initially, these small vessels have used the US military during the Second world war to transport troops and supplies, and later adapted as tourist vehicles.
This is not the first case when the collapse of the «duck boat» ends with the death of people. In 1999, this ship capsized in Arkansas — killing 13 of its passengers.
UPD.: According to recent reports, the death toll has risen to 17 people.
