In Brooklyn the man grabbed the woman and threw her under a train

Police are investigating a tragic accident that occurred on 26 July on one of the subway stations in Brooklyn. As reported by NYPD and FDNY, the incident happened at about 4.45 on Broadway Junction.

According to investigators, the events unfolded as follows. The man jumped on the rails before the approaching train, the next moment, grabbed the woman and pulled it. While some eyewitnesses claim that they jumped together.

«He had a big wound on the head,» he told reporters Post passer Kenneth brown.

As a result of collision with the train, the woman died on the spot, and the man was sent to Brookdale University Hospital, where he died. The woman was identified as 42-year-old Cynthia Raiser from Queens. About the identity of the men is not known.

The representative of the police Department of new York announced that the deceased is likely to have been in a romantic relationship. Some sources believe they could be homeless.

Police are investigating the incident as a murder-suicide.

There is limited A & C service between lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, & Queens because two people were struck by a train at Broadway Junction. We are working with the NYPD to restore regular service, but at this time please continue to consider alternate travel options.

According to the MTA, as a result of the incident, there were delays of trains on lines A and C between Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens — just in time for rush hour. Subway work resumed around seven in the evening.
