The tragic incident occurred in Aurora (Colorado), Monday, July 30. Police received a call from a woman who claimed that her house had penetrated the robber. Officers immediately responded to the message, and soon arrived at the scene. At the same time they encountered the armed man and opened fire. Only later it turned out that it was the owner of the house, and he was a few minutes before this shot the robber.
According to information provided by police officers, immediately after arrival on scene, officers heard the shotsrang inside the house. After a few moments the policemen met with an unknown man. In his hands he was holding a gun and apparently had no time to warn the security forces, which is the owner of the house. One of the officers opened fire and seriously wounded a man.
Only after that militiamen have found out that this man was protecting his family and for a few moments before this shot the robber. He wanted to go to the police and explain to them that they were able to stop the attacker, but did not manage to do so. The wounded homeowner was urgently taken to the nearest hospital where he never regained consciousness, died.
In the home, police found a dead criminal and a wounded minor boy. Apparently, he suffered at the hands of the robber, after which the home owner shot the intruder. Neighbors men are shocked at this tragedy. He said that the deceased was a good and kind man who loved to tend her garden.
«That’s terrible! He was our neighbor, my father has long been familiar with him. Very friendly person and every time we met, he waved at us and smiled pleasantly» — said neighbor of the murdered landlord.
The officer who took the fateful decision to open fire, temporarily dismissed from the serviceby sending a paid vacation. The police Department of Denver is now conducting an investigation concerning the actions of his employee.
