A terrible incident occurred last week in the city of independence (Missouri). There are 8-year-old boy, for reasons unknown, poured it on his little friend the tool for removing the varnish, and then set him on fire. The child received serious burns to the face, body and internal organs. Doctors do not exclude that he can refuse light.
The tragedy occurred on Monday, August 6, however, the police learned about it only after the material about the affected child was leaked to the media. According to information provided by law enforcement agencies, Julien Sandlin was playing with his friend in one of the residential complexes of the city of independence. At some point, 8-year-old friend of the boy poured him a liquid for removing varnish, and then set fire to a child through normal candle.

The substance is flushed, and the baby began to scream terribly. The noise brought out a neighbor child, who quickly ran for a wet towel to extinguish the fire. However, Julien had already received very severe burns. Directly at the time of the incident the boy’s mother was not at home. It was urgently hospitalized in the hospital Children’s Mercy Hospitalwhere the child was operated on.
Now Julien comes to his senses. The doctors think he’ll need skin grafts. Moreover, because of the internal injuries the boy may refuse the lungs, and this is very worrying for doctors. They recognized that even if all operations complete successfully, the full rehabilitation will take years. The mother of Julien organized a charity fundraiser on the popular online GoFundMe.
At the same time, law enforcement officers trying to figure out why the incident became known from the publications of local media. An official investigation was opened only after 3 days after the tragedy on August 9.
