The Federal court made a decision on the 35-year-old citizen of India Prabhu Ramamurthy, who tried to abuse the passenger for the flight Las Vegas – Detroit. The incident occurred 7 months ago, and now the jury has finally voiced his opinion. The man was convicted of attempted rape, he faces life imprisonment. Aggravating circumstance is the fact that the offender tried to take advantage of the helpless condition of a woman who was asleep at the time of committing illegal acts.

In court documents it is said: Prabhu Ramamurthy, along with his wife to get a night airline flight Spirit Airlines, intending to go to Detroit. Next to them was a 22-year-old girl, whose name and surname are not disclosed. At some point, the passenger was asleep, and when opened his eyes again, he saw himself in underwear male hand. Blouse and pants of the victim were open, and Ramamurthy bent over his victim and touched her genitals.

The girl screamed in horror and rushed to the tail of the plane, asking the flight attendants to help her. Even more shocking and again, the fact that near the criminal was his wife. Apparently, the woman saw it and did not tried to prevent spouse. In the end, the police arrested Ramamurthy upon arrival in Detroit.

Initially, the Indian denied his guilt. The man, along with his wife, claimed 22-year-old passenger she fell asleep on his lap. The attacker allegedly took a sleeping pill and also fell asleep. The spouse of the perpetrator claimed that she asked the crew to transplant them, but the flight attendants didn’t confirm her words.

In the end, Prabhu Ramamurthy was convicted of committing a sexual abuse victim who was in a helpless condition. The prosecution requires him to life imprisonment.
