Katie Wenzell came to Atlanta from Milwaukee (Wisconsin) to spend the holidays with her mother and sisters. They stood on the subway platform, when suddenly a young man pushed a 58-year-old Susan Wenzell directly on the rails. The woman lost consciousness and the time is approaching.

Katie did not hesitate, jumped on the path behind her mother.

«If she didn’t, my wife would return home in a coffin,» said Jerry Wenzel, Cathy’s father and the husband of Susan, adding that his daughter is «a hero in every sense of the word.»

Susan received a concussion and a broken arm, but she had been discharged from the hospital in Atlanta. But she Katie, having to put mother along the rail to avoid being run over by a train, has been hit hard.

Traumatic brain injury has caused brain swelling. In addition, she has lost part of his leg and shoulder.
