In Oregon found the body of a hiker missing in August, the suspect in the murder of the Puma

Female hiker missing on mount hood in Oregon in late August, was found dead. It is believed to have killed the mountain lion — Puma.

The body of a 55-year-old Diana beaver were found on Monday, September 10, at the bottom of a 200-foot gorge near the famous tourist route of the Hunchback Trail.

The last time a woman was seen alive on 29 August, when she went Hiking along the trail. The next day, hikers found a backpack Diana and her car and left to stand in the Parking lot at the foot of the mountain.

«I offer sincere condolences to the family and friends of Diane beaver, said at a press conference, Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts. — The autopsy showed that the woman died as a result of an animal attack. The wounds indicate that, in all probability, it was the Puma.»

For Oregon this is an unprecedented incident. In recent history the state has not been a single attack of a mountain lion on human death.

As a precaution, the route Hunchback temporarily closed for tourists.

According to experts, in Oregon, there are about 6.6 thousand pumas. Weight adults up to 200 pounds (90 kg). Mountain lions usually don’t hunt people, but for deer, moose, rabbits and wild birds.
